The Journey Back to You

To My ForevaBlack Babies,  

Today’s post was handpicked just for you! For every sister and brother who trying to find their way back—to confidence, to peace, to light, and joy, and especially to God. Maybe life became so heavy you forgot who you are, maybe grief is stealing your light, maybe you have poured into so many others you forgot how to fill your own cup. 

Believe me when I say this: the real you still exist. It may be buried under the hurt; under the ugly pain you have been carrying. This space was created for you to feel safe, seen, and help you move forward to the version of yourself again. This version will be beautiful, full of purpose, peace, and the presence of God. The three P’s... remember it. This version of you will experience things only God could have done, but first you must truly believe and take YOUR power and authority God blessed us with. And if you ever feel like you can’t, remember who can... and that’s God.  

Purpose. Such a simple word but has a huge action behind it, so much greatness behind a small word. You all have a purpose, God-given purpose. You are not random. You hold weight in this world. Everything you go through—the good, bad, ugly, and in between... God is using this apart of your story. He has always been there, walking you toward your purpose but it’s a journey.  

Peace. True peace is not found in this world, but in God. His presence is there. Peace is still experiencing chaos, but you know who is in control. You are fully aware and trust that God has you; so why should you worry? Let peace cover you and hold you close. TRUE peace. Allow peace to quiet the disturbance in your head. Baby, you deserve rest—even amid rebuilding.  

Presence. The presence of God is unmatched. There’s no healing, wisdom, clarity, or real direction without God’s presence. We NEED God’s presence, that is true oxygen. The more you make space for Him, the more you will hear him more. Ezekiel 34:11 “For thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out.” This is God saying He will make it his business to come in rescue his loss children, because we are his sheep, and He is our Shepherd. He plans to restore us back into His care. Don’t just seek the answers, truly seek HIM. Everything else will follow.  

So, if you have been feeling lost, broken, drained, or just uncertain—know this: the journey back to you is still possible. You are not too far gone. Also, this journey isn’t lonely... God’s presence is there. One moment at a time, remember the three P’s? Purpose, Peace, and the Presence of God. You’re on your way to greater; your best days are before you! You’re not becoming anyone new—you're simply becoming who you were always meant to be.
